Issue with Netflix

If you're having an issue casting from netflix.com, try these steps:

  1. Make sure your laptop is connected to your Wi-Fi network and your Chromecast is set up and connected to the same network.
  2. Stop what you’re currently casting from Netflix. Try casting again.
  3. Close the Chrome browser and relaunch it.
  4. Disconnect from a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or proxy server, if applicable. Chromecast cannot communicate with your laptop over these networks.
  5. If you are seeing an error such as Error 16003 or 16001, factory reset your Chromecast and set it up again. 
  6. Once your Chromecast is fully set up, reopen netflix.com and try again.
