Chromebook blocks me from ITV Hub

Error message tells me to update browser settings so I click on Update Settings. The instructions there tell me to go to Settings -> Contents, but Contents does not show up in Settings.
I am only trying to watch "Long Lost Family", nothing obnoxious!

That is a very old device that has not received software updates in three years. It sounds like the website you are on is no longer support that old version of Chrome.

You'll either need to buy a new device, or install an alternate operating system such as Project Brunch or MrChromebox, but they are outside the scope of this forum.

What device do you have and what version of ChromeOS are you on?

Hi Kevin, thanks.
My Chrome OS version is:  Version 76.0.3809.136 (Official Build) (64-bit) and it says it is up to date.
My device is an Asus C300 laptop Chromebook.

Kevin, yes, I have now found out that the Auto Update Expiration date for the Asus C300 was August 2019, which ties in with your comment about "3 years".

It seems that Chrome Flex OS is mainly aimed at reviving old Windows and Mac computers and that it is less compatible to install on an expired Chromebook.

I can check on Project Brunch and MrChromebox though.

Thanks,
Jenny

Yes, I've revised my comment to remove Flex from the list. CloudReady used to be on that list, but since being acquired by Google and replaced with Flex, it has changed some. I understand it is possible to install on a Chromebook, but not sure that there are good resources out there.
