Backlight key shortcut no longer works on HP Chromebook x360

After the last update, the keyboard backlight shortcut no longer works (doesn't even appear when hitting alt-brightness) and the keyboard backlight no longer is functional under this version of ChromeOS... HP Chromebook x360 14 (nami) ...
There is something amiss with this build of ChromeOS.....

Thanks

Hi Jolt,

I have seen another report of that happening on your model.

The team is waiting for feedback reports to investigate this so please send one in (with logs) via Shift + Alt + I - including the hashtag #x360backlitissue

Please also bug for it via crbug.com where you can track its progress.

The developers do not monitor this forum. "Me too" posts will not help. You must use the feedback form like Mike explained.

Thanks for the info.  I needed the backlight and did a powerwash to revert to the latest stable release to fix the problem.  Before doing so I did file a bug report with logs and the hashtag #x360backlitissue but comprehending CR.BUG is more than this octogenarian's brain was willing to deal with.

My exact issue. I was on phone support from hp and bestbuy for like 1 hr and negotiated a free repair. buuuuuuuuut I might not need the repair since it sounds like a software bug.

Before posting yet another useless "me too" comment, please take the time to read the Recommended answers and follow the directions!
If you don't post the bug number, no one knows about it and that means no one will star it so it gets proper ranking. But that's OK - you appear to know best how to solve your problems. I won't try to help any more.

I will just continue to work with all the other users who appreciate what the volunteers here do, and the backlight issue will just go unfixed for a longer time. Hope you don't really need it to work for a while.

Enjoy yourselves in the lovely toxic environment you have created here.

I solved the issue thank you. I was going to submit a proper bug report when I had a chance to roll out the update once more, just to confirm it was that particular version which was causing the issue with the backlight.  As yet, I haven't had a chance.

I posted the quick reply so other users could see that other people were experiencing the issue.

I'm sure everyone on here appreciates your constructive help.

Regards.
