I have just installed the latest on my HP11

Tap to click, though set in options, does not always work. Is anyone else seeing this?

Hi everyone,

The team will begin rolling out a fix for this issue to Stable version 35 (35.0.1916.116 / 5712.61.2) today. Impacted devices will be receiving updates over the next several days.

Do note that a very small percentage of devices might run into an issue where the touchpad fails to respond after the update. If you experience this behavior, simply turn your Chromebook off and on (hold down the power button for 10 seconds) to clear the issue.

Well at least we both know it's not a hardware issue!

My Samsung ARM Chromebook is working fine, but that is on a different build of ChroOS.

A double tap seems to work.

I have formally reported the issue

I tried to change to the Beta track but was told I needed admin rights - I am a singleton user and my own administrator.

Seems some bugs have slipped through into stable.

I have had that on the new Beta as well. I don't think it is OS related at all, as my resolution was rooted in extension interference.

For me, the problem went away upon a warm reboot/restart [Ctrl Shift q q <---press q twice but returned on a cold boot up [full shut down/power button to power up]. That was puzzling. I traced it to an extension under devlopement.

Guest sign in, with no extensions loaded, is the more definitive route.

Just tried Guest Mode - same bug

Tried Ctrl Shift q q - no remedy.

Now THAT is odd. Thanks for the Feedback Report; that's always a good thing to do. I am scratching my head about why Guest mode didn't cure it. Try it again from a complete shutdown.

On Friday, we started rolling out the fix in the Stable version 35 (35.0.1916.116 / 5712.61.2) update. Impacted devices will be receiving updates over the next several days. When you were on Stable, did you get the new Stable 35 update? If not, it might not have made it to your device yet (it's still rolling out).

Just curious if you were ever on the latest 35.0.1916.116 / 5712.61.2 version or not.
