Install and uninstall extensions

You can do even more with Google Chrome by downloading and adding extensions. For example, with the Pinterest extension, you can pin items from any website. Or with the Google+ Hangouts extension, you can start a Hangout any time with just a click. There’s a large selection of extensions to choose from in the Chrome Web Store. Install an extension

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store. You can also get there by clicking the Apps shortcut chrome app launcher on the bookmarks toolbar > Web Store chrome store.
  2. Find the extension you want to install.
  3. Click Add to Chrome.
  4. A dialog appears letting you know about the types of data that the extension will be able to access.
  5. Click Add to grant the extension access to the data described and install the extension.

You’ll see its icon appear to the right of the address bar. To start using it, just click the icon.

Uninstall an extension

To remove an extension from Google Chrome:

  1. At the top-right corner of Chrome, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu.
  2. Select More tools > Extensions.
  3. Next to the extension you want to remove, click the trash icon Extension trash Can Icon.
  4. A pop-up window will appear, asking if you want to remove the extension. Click Remove.

To temporarily turn an extension on or off:

  1. At the top-right corner of Chrome, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu.
  2. Select More tools > Extensions.
  3. On the Extensions page, uncheck the box next to Enabled for the extension you want to turn off. Check it to turn it on.

Use the same extensions on any computer
