Save and view webpage bookmarks

You can save the webpages you’d like to see again by creating bookmarks.

Add a bookmark

To learn how to bookmark a webpage, choose your device:

Computer

On the right side of your address bar, click the star icon. It could look like this Bookmark or Bookmark.

You can also do one of the following:

  • At the top right, click More More and then Bookmarks and then Bookmark this page.
  • At the top, next to the web address, find Lock Lock or Page Blank page. Drag either one into the bookmarks bar.
  • Press Ctrl + d (Windows or Linux) or ⌘ + d (Mac).
Mobile device

On a phone

  1. Open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More.
  3. Tap Star Star.
  4. [Optional] If you want to edit the bookmark's name and URL or change the folder, go to the bottom bar and tap Edit.
  5. When you're done, tap Back Back.

On a tablet

  1. At the top, next to the web address, tap Star Star.
  2. [Optional] If you want to edit the bookmark's name and URL or change the folder, go to the bottom bar and tap Edit.
  3. When you're done, tap Back Back.

See your bookmarks

To learn where you can find your bookmarks, choose your device:

Computer

You can see your bookmarks in three places:

  • Bookmarks bar: The bookmarks bar is turned off by default. You can change your settings to show the bookmarks bar on every page.
  • Bookmarks menu: To get to this list of bookmarks, click More More and then Bookmarks.
  • Bookmark manager: The bookmark manager makes it easy for you to revisit your bookmarks. To get there, click More More and then Bookmarks and then Bookmark Manager.
Mobile devices

Mobile bookmarks

By default, opening bookmarks on your mobile device only shows your mobile bookmarks.

  1. Open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More.
  3. Tap Bookmarks.
  4. Tap the bookmark you want to visit.

Bookmarks you saved on a computer

To get to bookmarks you saved on a computer, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More.
  3. Tap Bookmarks.
  4. At the top left, tap Menu Menu.
  5. Open the folder that has the bookmark you want to visit.
  6. Tap the bookmark you want to visit.

To share bookmarks across your computers and mobile devices, sign in to Chrome on each device. Signing in syncs your future bookmarks to your Google Account.
