Save and view webpage bookmarks

You can save the webpages you’d like to see again by creating bookmarks.

Add a bookmark

To learn how to bookmark a webpage, choose your device:

Computer

On the right side of your address bar, click the star icon. It could look like this Bookmark or Bookmark.

You can also do one of the following:

  1. In the top right, click the icon you see: Menu Menu or More More.
  2. Click Bookmarks > Bookmark this page.
  3. Go to the web address bar at the top of the page and find the lock Lock or the pageBlank page. Drag either one into the bookmarks bar.
  4. Press Ctrl+D or ⌘+D.
Mobile device

On a phone

  1. Open the Chrome menu More.
  2. Tap the star icon Bookmark.
  3. Optional: If you want to edit the bookmark's name and URL or change the folder, go to the bottom bar and tap Edit.
  4. When you're done, tap the checkmark .

On a tablet

  1. In the address bar at the top, tap the star icon Bookmark.
  2. Optional: If you want to edit the bookmark's name and URL or change the folder, go to the bottom bar and tap Edit.
  3. When you're done, tap the checkmark .

See your bookmarks

To learn where you can find your bookmarks, choose your device:

Computer

You can see your bookmarks in three places:

  • Bookmarks bar: The bookmarks bar is turned off by default. You can change your settings to show the bookmarks bar on every page.
  • Bookmarks menu: Get to this list of bookmarks through the Chrome menu (Menu or More) > Bookmarks.
  • Bookmark manager: The bookmark manager makes it easy for you to revisit your bookmarks. To get there, click the Chrome menu (Menu or More) > Bookmarks > Bookmark Manager.
Mobile devices

Mobile bookmarks

By default, opening bookmarks on your mobile device only shows your mobile bookmarks.

  1. In the top right, click the icon you see: Menu Menu or More More.
  2. Click Bookmarks.
  3. Touch the bookmark you want to visit.

Bookmarks you saved on a computer

To get to bookmarks you saved on a computer, follow these steps:

  1. In the top right, click the icon you see: Menu Menu or More More.
  2. Click Bookmarks.
  3. Open the folder “Desktop bookmarks” or “Other bookmarks."
  4. Touch the bookmark you want to visit.

To share bookmarks across your computers and mobile devices, sign in to Chrome on each device. This syncs your future bookmarks to your Google Account.
