- On your computer, open Chrome

- In the address bar at the top, enter your search.
- Select a result or press Enter.
Tip: As you enter your search, you may get suggestions based on your web and app activity. You can delete suggestions from your search history or hide sections of suggestions based on your activity when they appear. Learn more about your activity.
Tips:
You can find a specific word or phrase on a web page on your computer.
- On your computer, open a page in Chrome
.
- At the top right, click More
Find. A search window opens.
- Enter your search term.
- Press Enter to search the page.
- Matches are highlighted in yellow. In the scrollbar on the right, yellow markers show where the matches are located on the page.

- On a PC: Right-click the highlighted content.

- Click the option to search with your default search engine. For example, you might find an option like "Search Google for emperor penguin."
Tips:
- You can translate to your preferred language or get the definition when you select a word or phrase.
- You can convert units when you select a number.
You can learn more about an image with Google Lens. For example, you can use a picture of a dress to search for where to buy it, find similar dresses, or find that image elsewhere on the web.
Before you start:
To learn more about an image:
- Open a page in Chrome
.
- Right-click on an image.
- In the menu, choose Search image with Google Lens.
- If you right-click anywhere outside an image, from the menu, you can choose Search images with Google Lens. After you click this option, you can drag to select an image.
Tips:
- Search results display on the right side of your screen. To display them in a new tab, click Open
.
- You can use Google Lens to search images in the side panel.
You can display the results in a separate panel to easily navigate between multiple search results.
- On your computer, open Chrome

- In the address bar at the top, enter what you want to search for.
- Select a result.
- To view your search results on the same page, in your address bar, click Open search in side panel or the search engine icon
on the far right.

Tip: Side panel may also work with non-Google search engines, if implemented by them. Click the address bar and point to Open search in side panel or the search engine icon on the far right.
