Fix issues with saved payment info & passwords

You can save your contact, payment, and sign-in info to Chrome. If something doesn't work when you let Chrome remember your info, try these fixes.

Fix issues with passwords

You can fix your passwords in Chrome. Learn more about how to manage saved passwords.

Chrome doesn’t offer to save your passwords

Delete your password and try to sign in again.

Show, delete, edit, or export passwords

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. Tap More More and then Password Manager Passwords.
  3. To show, delete, edit, or export a password:
    • Show:
      1. Tap the password that you want to show.
      2. Tap Show password .
    • Delete:
      1. At the bottom right, tap Edit.
      2. Under "Saved Passwords," tap the site you want to remove.
      3. Tap Delete.
    • Edit:
      1. Tap the password you want to change and then Edit.
      2. Edit your password.
      3. When you're finished, tap Done.
    • Export:
      1. Tap Settings and then Export passwords.

Tip: To delete all your saved passwords, learn more about deleting browsing data.

Stop Chrome from offering to save your passwords
  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. Tap More More and then Password Manager Passwords.
  3. At the bottom left, tap Settings.
  4. Turn Offer To Save Passwords off.
Chrome doesn't suggest your saved passwords
If Chrome doesn’t suggest a password, above the keyboard, tap Passwords Save your password and then Select password.

Fix issues with payment & contact info

Chrome doesn't offer to save your payment or address info

If the website splits the payment form into multiple parts, Chrome might not be able to save your credit card. Instead, use your card by adding it to Google Pay:
  1. Go to pay.google.com.
  2. Add your info:
    • Payment method: Select Payment Methods and then Add payment methods.
    • Address: Select Address and then Add addresses

Edit your saved payment info

If your payment method or address is saved in Google Pay,  you can link out to Google pay or change your info at pay.google.com.

Stop Chrome from offering to save your payment info

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. Tap More  More and then Settings Settings.
  3. Tap Autofill forms.
  4. Turn off Autofill forms.

Chrome doesn't suggest your saved payment methods

If Chrome doesn’t offer your saved payment method, tap Credit card to find possible payment methods.
