Read pages later and offline

You can save web pages to read later, even if you're offline, like when you're on a plane or somewhere else without an Internet connection. To read web pages later offline, download them in Chrome ahead of time.

Save a page from Chrome to read later

You need to be online to save a page.

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. Go to a page that you want to save.
  3. At the top-right, tap More More and then Download Download.

You can also touch and hold a link and then tap Download link.

Read a saved page

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. At the top-right, tap More More and then Downloads.
  3. Tap the page that you want to read.

When you're back online, see the live version of the page by tapping Reload Reload.

Delete a saved page

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. At the top-right, tap More More and then Downloads.
  3. Touch and hold the page that you want to delete.
  4. At the top-right, tap Delete Delete.
