I have an HP chromebook 14 updated to 78.0.3904.92 and when it's connected to an HP usb-c docking station, the mouse will stutter/lag on two external screens, but will work fine on the chromebook screen.  I closed the chromebook lid two work off the two external monitors.  The mouse cursor will show latency on both screens, however the mouse functions normally when clicking or mouse scrolls.   Typing on the keyboard will function normally.  However, turning on the night light function or the high contrast mode will resolve this issue.  Is there any fix to this?

I was going crazy and struggling to understand what went wrong when my brand new C340 which was working absolutely fine in a dual monitor mode with my MX Master 2s mouse the evening I bought and set it up, suddenly developed mouse lag on the external monitor and was unusable the very next morning. No amount of powerwash would fix it. Luckily stumbled upon this answer. As my Night Light was set to "sunset to sunrise", it was working fine in the evening and stopped working in the morning! I have now turned on the setting to "always" and all's well.
