3. Verify the service installation

You can use the following scenarios to verify that CPN for Microsoft Entra ID is correctly installed.

Change your password and confirm with the sign-in page

1. Sign in to a Chromebook as a SAML user.
2. Sign in to the Microsoft My Account portal with your test account, using your existing password.
3. Click Change password or, on the left, select Password.
4. Sign out and, after some time, the screen displays Sign-in.
5. Click Sign-in and follow the flow, in particular provide valid SAML user credentials on the IdP page.

Expected: You are taken back to the active session.

1. Sign out again.

Expected: Password is shown, not Sign-in.

Change your password and confirm with the lock page

1. Sign in to a Chromebook as a SAML user.
2. Sign in to the Microsoft My Account portal with your test account, using your existing password.
3. Click Change password or, on the left, select Password.
4. Lock the screen and, after some time, the screen displays Verify account.
5. Click Verify account. Follow the flow, in particular provide valid SAML user credentials on the IdP page.

Expected: The screen is unlocked and you are taken back to the active session.

1. Lock the screen again.

Expected: Password is shown, not Verify account.

Change your password from another device and confirm with the sign in page

1. Sign in to a Chromebook as a SAML user.
2. Sign in to the Microsoft My Account portal with your test account, using your existing password.
3. Click Change password or, on the left, select Password.
4. Sign out and, after some time, the screen displays Sign-in.
5. Click Sign-in and follow the flow, in particular provide valid SAML user credentials on the IdP page.
