Enroll Browsers with Mosyle (macOS)

Applies to macOS users who use managed Chrome browser.

As a Chrome Enterprise administrator, you can use Mosyle to deploy a Chrome Browser Cloud Management enrollment token and enroll your Chrome browsers. You can then use your Google Admin console to enforce policies for any users who open Chrome browser on an enrolled Apple Mac device.

Before you begin

• Make sure you have access to a Mosyle Business account.
• Review which enrollment option works best for your organization:
  • Mosyle Catalog (recommended for Mosyle Fuse customers)
  • Mosyle PKG deployment (recommended for other Mosyle offerings)

Enroll browsers

Step 1: Generate the enrollment token

1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

   Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

2. Generate an enrollment token. See Generate enrollment token.

3. Copy the token to use in step 2.

Step 2: Assign the enrollment token to Chrome browser

Enroll your browsers using one of the following methods:

Option 1: Enroll browsers with Mosyle Catalog

1. Sign into your Mosyle Business account.
2. On the left, confirm that macOS is selected.
3. At the top, click Management.
4. On the left under Management Profiles, click Install App.
5. Click Add new profile and enter a name.
6. For Installation source, select Mosyle Catalog.
7. Click + Add Application and select Google Chrome.
8. In the Cloud Management Enrollment Token field, paste the enrollment token you generated in step 1.
9. Assign the profile to the users and devices you want to install and click Save.

Option 2: Enroll browsers with Mosyle PKG deployment

1. Sign into your Mosyle Business account.
2. At the top, click Management.
3. On the left, confirm that macOS is selected.
4. On the left under Management Profiles, click Install PKG.
5. Click Already have a .PKG.
6. Select option B) Manually set App info - Host PKG file internally or publicly.
7. Configure the following settings for the PKG:
   1. App Name: Google Chrome
   2. URL: https://dl.google.com/chrome/mac/universal/stable/GGRO/googlechrome.dmg
   3. App Bundle: com.google.Chrome
   4. App Version: Enter the most recent version of Google Chrome (at the time of writing, the version is 105.0.5195.125)
   5. At the bottom, click Save.
8. Under Install PKG, click the Profiles tab and click Add new profile.
9. Click + Add Application and select Google Chrome DMG.
10. In the Cloud Management Enrollment Token field, paste the enrollment token you generated in step 1.
11. Assign the profile to the users and devices you want to install and click Save.
