Set up Change Password Notifier for Active Directory

3. Verify the service installation

You can then verify that CPN for AD is correctly installed.

Verify the service

  1. Right-click on Start.
  2. Select Run.
  3. Enter services.msc.
  4. In the Services tool, the newly installed Change Password Notifier should show Running.

  5. Search for and open the Event Viewer app.
  6. Filter log entries coming from the Password Invalidation Service;
    1. Select Windows Logsand thenApplicationand thenFilter Current Log.
    2. Select SyncServiceEventLoger as a source.

    The last log event should be Password monitoring DLL found.

  7. Execute a password change for any users in a domain and verify that there are no errors displayed in the event log.

Remove the service from the AD server

In Add/Remove Programs, search for Change Password Notifier and click Uninstall.
