Enroll Browsers with VMware Workspace ONE (Android)

Applies to Android users who use managed Chrome browser.

You can use VMware Workspace ONE to deploy a Chrome Browser Cloud Management enrollment token and enroll your Chrome browsers. You can then use your Google Admin console to enforce policies for any users who open Chrome browser on enrolled Android devices.

Before you begin

• Make sure you have access to the VMware Workspace One console.

Enroll browsers

Step 1: Generate the enrollment token

1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

   Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

2. Generate an enrollment token. See Generate enrollment token.

Step 2: Assign the enrollment token to Chrome browser

Sign into your VMware Workspace One console.

1. Go to ResourcesAppsNative.
2. Select Public.
3. Click Add Application.
4. On the Add Application screen, do the following:
   1. For Set Platform, select Android.
   2. For Source, select Search app store.
   3. For Name, select Chrome.
   4. Click Next.
   5. Select Google Chrome.
   6. Click Select.
5. Click Save & Assign.
6. On the Distribution tab in the Assignment screen, do the following
   1. For Name, select Chrome.
   2. For Assignment Groups, select the group distribution. For example, organizational unit or smart group.
   3. Select the App Delivery Method.
7. On the Application Configuration tab, do the following:
   1. Enable Send Configuration.
   2. Set the enrollment token to be pushed to the device:
      1. Scroll to or search for The enrollment token of cloud policy on desktop.
      2. Copy the enrollment token you generated in Step 1.
8. Click CreateSavePublish.
