  • Available to Annual Plan (yearly) 30 days before their annual renewal.

Upgrade a customer

If your customer already has Google Vault, follow these steps before you upgrade them to ensure that they don’t accidentally lose data.
  1. Sign in to the Channel Services console.
  2. On the Customers page, click the customer's name.
  3. Below Subscriptions, click New Service.
  4. In Subscriptions, click the G Suite service to upgrade.
  5. Select the customer's new service and payment plan. 
  6. Review license numbers and confirm order.

After upgrading

If the customer previously purchased individual Drive storage or Google Vault licenses: In some cases, these licenses for Drive storage and Vault may remain assigned after the upgrade.

To avoid charges for these licenses, check and remove any individual Drive and Vault licenses from users who were assigned G Suite Business or G Suite Enterprise licenses.
