Delete and/or Edit Recurring Event

I created an event that repeats on the same date every year. It is an anniversary, and I accidentally set it as a birthday and also the grammar is incorrect. When I go to the event, I have absolutely no options to edit it, or alternatively delete it so that I can create a new one with the correct information. It has been this way for 4 years and I have let it go but it is annoying and I would like it fixed. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Jacob,

Try going in to https://contacts.google.com and see if you can find your ex's details listed there. If so, you should be able to open the contact and remove the 'birthday'.

When you say that you "set it as a birthday", could you let us know how you created the event - if you remember!

If you open that event, it should say which calendar it is stored in - is that one you recognise?

No, it is not a birthday it is an old anniversary with my ex-significant other. I set it as an anniversary but it is labeled somehow as a birthday, I have no idea how that happened. So you can see why I would like to remove it. I have tried long pressing on the event, nothing. When I click on it I have no options to do anything at all, I do not see the three dots or anything like that. We joined our Play Account's at one point but never our calendars so it is on my calendar.
