Local business links

Your Business Profile can include 2 types of links that make it easier for customers to learn more about your business. They can also take action directly from your profile on Google Maps or Search.

You can add a single link that helps customers:

  • Check a menu.
  • Review a list of services (such as telemedicine or virtual).

You can also add up to 10 links per category. Links can help customers:

  • Book an appointment.
  • Make a reservation.
  • Place a food order.
  • Place a shopping order.

Add links to your Business Profile

  1. Go to your Business Profile. Learn how to find your profile.
  2. To manage your links:
    • With Google Search, select Booking, Food ordering, or Pickup and delivery.
    • With Google Maps, select Edit profile and the transaction type that you want to add a link to.
  3. Select Add link.
    • If you already have links on your Business Profile, select Add another link.
  4. Enter the URL that you want to link to the button.
  5. Select Save.

Edit links on your Business Profile

  1. Go to your Business Profile. Learn how to find your profile.
  2. Select the transaction type, such as Booking, Food ordering, or Pickup and delivery.
    • For food ordering, you can choose to offer pickup and/or delivery.
  3. To edit a link, next to the link you’d like to change, select Edit.
  4. Change the URL and select Save.

Set your preferred link

If you have more than one link on your profile, you can set a preferred link at the top of your links as “Business preferred.”

  1. Go to your Business Profile. Learn how to find your profile.
  2. Select the transaction type, such as Booking or Pickup and delivery.
  3. Select Set preferred link.
  4. Select the link that you want to be your preferred link.
  5. Select Save.
Understand retail & shopping links

If you manage retail or shopping locations in the U.S., you can provide your business links on your Business Profile. To add links, go to the Info tab in Business Profile Manager. Local business links are not available via the Business Profile API or spreadsheet upload.

Remove third-party links

To provide services for local businesses, Google works with select third-party providers. These links lead to the website of the provider. From their website, a customer can take actions such as:

  • Place an order
  • Make an appointment
  • Make a reservation

Links to certain services can automatically appear with your Business Profile on Google Search and Maps. Third-party providers who have authorized partnerships with your business provide and update these links automatically.

Tip: If you turn off “Accept orders on your profile", all ordering options and links (both first-party and third-party) you've added to your Business Profile will be hidden.

To remove a specific third-party booking link:

  1. Go to your Business Profile. Learn how to find your profile.
  2. To manage your bookings, you can use Google Search or Maps:
    • On Google Search, select Booking and then Remove Provider.
    • On Google Maps, select Edit profile and then Booking and then Remove Provider.

Providers need to remove third-party links from your profile within 5 days of receiving a removal request. If a provider doesn’t process your request, report a violation.
