Configure account settings

You can access your account settings by signing in to the Partner Center at play.google.com/books/publish/ and clicking Account Settings in the left-hand menu. (Account Settings are only available to users with administrative access.) There are several types of settings for your account.

If you're looking for default settings for your books, go to the Book Catalog instead and manage your templates.

Account Information

Please provide the account-level contact information and keep it up-to-date, especially the primary contact name and email address (which need not be the same as the email address used to sign in to the account). Country cannot be changed.

Email Preferences

Each user can opt in or out of receiving different types of email communications based on their preferences. Within the Partner Center, navigate to the account settings > email preferences screen. Use the following categories to control which type of emails you would like to receive.  

Email preferences are user specific. If you are not a user listed within the account, contact your account’s administrator to add you as a user or contact us. 

Category Definition
Announcements* Get important announcements about Google Play Books.
Updates & opportunities Get tips and information about new programs and features that benefit your books
Catalog alerts* Get notifications when books or your account require attention
Technical alerts* Get notifications about technical issues (ONIX, file transfers)
Feedback Provide periodic feedback through surveys and research studies to help improve Google Play Books

Email Preferences for Payments

Payments*                       

Receive notices about payments and payment related issues within the account. 

To opt in/out, add your email within the payment profile.

* Mandatory categories. Each account must have at least one user receiving these notices. 

Payment related emails will be sent to the email address listed within the “Payment profile” section of the account. To view these emails, navigate to the payment profile > edit > settings > manage settings. Scroll down to the bottom to find the Payment Contacts and select “Add a new contact”.

Users

Add or remove additional users who have access to this Google Books account. These users must have a Google Account. Read more about managing additional users.
