Multiple Voice Match on Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab

Using the Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab with Google Assistant, I can only seem to get one voice match working at a time. I have to swap between google accounts manually to get another voice to work (i.e. not simultaneously). Thus voice match works but not the multiple account functionality of it.

Anyone else have this problem or found a solution?

I believe it just hasn't been implemented by google yet - in which case is that a feature coming soon, considering it already exist on other google assistant based devices?

Hey there Tish

Some Google Assistant devices, like speakers, Smart Displays, Smart Clocks, and the Pixel Stand, can be shared with multiple people.

See which devices are using Voice Match
  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Google Nest or Google Home speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app .
  3. Tap Assistant settings  Assistant  Voice match. You'll see a list of devices that are using Voice Match.
From here you can:
  • Retrain your voice model, if needed.
  • Invite others to set up Voice Match on shared devices.
  • Remove a shared device by tapping the X. This removes your Google Account (and Voice Match) from the device.
  • Add new shared devices.
Learn more about voice match.

If you are unable to invite others, does Lenovo allow you to do so with your Yoga Smart tab?

Plus, if you have children under the age of 13 you may be able share Google services with up to 6 family members, including you.

We don't have any other devices besides the Lenovo Yoga smart TAB.

We use it as a kitchen calendar and shared device.

In the voice match settings no devices appear likely because all we have is the lenovo. Do we have to have a separate Google home or Nest device to be able to use multiple voice match option?

Doesn't this defeat the purpose of having a Lenovo smart tab with Google assistant built-in. We want flexibility of a device with Google assistant and ambient mode plus web browser and other apps which Google home devices can't run.

Also I found posts here that describe our issue too:

So it really is a design flaw, Is this something Google will be working on soon?

I see your response  is on the Lenovo website

Have you contacted Lenovo support?

I have made this thread, https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Smart-Tablets-with-Google-Assistant/Yoga-Smart-Tab-doesn-t-support-multiple-user-voice-match/m-p/5019841

It seems there is a google side bug which is preventing the voice match toggle button to work for multiple tablet user accounts. and with this device voice match is done one per tablet user account (not like other google devices where it is based on google accounts)

Lenovo have now confirmed this tablet does not support multiple voice match though it advertises google assistant.

Essentially it is a standard android tablet/phone like device which anyone can install google assistant on, but just with an ambient mode. It is not the true google assistant as setup in other google home devices.
