Set up personalization
To use reminders on a shared Google Assistant device, like a speaker or Smart Display: turn on Personal Results and set up Voice Match.
To use reminders with your family: make sure each person turns on Personal Results and sets up Voice Match.
Create a reminder
You can ask your Google Assistant to set a reminder for you. For example, you can say:
- "Ok Google, set a reminder."
- "Ok Google, remind me to call Mom at noon tomorrow.
You can set the reminder for a certain time or location, but not both.
Assign a reminder to someone
Important: This feature isn't available in all languages and it won't work if you use a Google Account through work or school.
You can assign reminders to someone if one of these is true:
- The person is in your family group. Learn how to manage your family on Google.
or - You and the person you're assigning a reminder to are both signed in to the same device, such as a speaker or Smart Display. Learn how to Link your voice to your Google Assistant device with Voice Match and how to Share devices in your home with other people.
For example, you can say:
- "Ok Google, remind Ryan to load the dishwasher every day at 8pm.
- "Ok Google, remind Tom to get a latte when he’s at Starbucks.
When you assign a reminder to someone, they'll get notifications on their device if they're signed in to the Google Assistant app. Both you and the person you assign a reminder to can edit or delete the reminder at any time.
