Set your home, work & other location

  2. Tap You and then Your places.

Create a Routine that uses location as a starter

To create a Routine that uses location as a starter, you need to allow the Google Assistant app location and notification permissions.

Location permissions

Important:

  • If you’re having trouble getting your Routine to work, try increasing the radius of the starter up to 500 m.
  • When your mobile battery is low, the location starter Routine doesn't start as reliably as when the battery is full.
  • Your battery may drain faster if location sharing is enabled with routines.
  • It takes a few minutes for the Routine to execute once you arrive at or leave from the chosen location.
  • If Location Based Triggering isn't working, try to restart your phone.
