Assign AppSheet admin privileges to Workspace admins

This article applies to Google Workspace admins with AppSheet Enterprise accounts only. 

For Google Workspace admins with AppSheet Enterprise accounts, you can assign AppSheet admin privileges as described in the following sections:

Auto-assignment of AppSheet admin privileges

AppSheet team root admin privileges are automatically assigned to Google Workspace admins with: 

Super Admins and Workspace Service Admins include AppSheet service admin privileges, by default. See Prebuilt administrator roles.

Assign AppSheet admin privileges by using the Workspace Admin Console

Assign AppSheet service admin privileges to Workspace admins by using the Google Workspace Admin Console.

To assign AppSheet admin privileges by using the Workspace Admin Console:

  1. Navigate to the Workspace Admin Console.
  2. Ensure that the Workspace user is assigned an AppSheet Enterprise license. See Assign, remove, and reassign licenses.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Assign a prebuilt system role that has AppSheet admin privileges. By default, Super Admins and Workspace Service Admins include AppSheet service admin privileges. See Prebuilt administrator roles.
    • Create and assign a custom role that has AppSheet service admin privileges. In this case, you need to create the role first. Go to Create a custom role.
