When your watch is connected to your phone, you can:

Get messages & other notifications

You can get notifications from your phone on your watch when you get:

  • Incoming phone calls
  • Texts
  • Emails
  • Calendar events
  • Apps

Your watch uses your phone's notifications settings. If you have notifications set up, you’ll be able to read and reply to messages on your watch.

To reply, you can:

  • Speak
  • Handwrite (not available on all versions)
  • Type on keyboard (not available on all versions)
  • Choose from a prewritten Smart Reply (not available on all versions)
Check your schedule, traffic & more

You can choose to see timely information and upcoming tasks, including:

  • Check your schedule
  • Track packages
  • Get traffic info
  • Check your flight or hotel reservations
  • View reminders
Translate words, check stocks & get help

You can get quick answers from Gemini or Google Assistant and do a variety of tasks on your watch using just your voice. Just say "Ok Google" or press and hold the designated button to ask questions or get things done.

  • Find a place or business

Tip: You can use Google Assistant on select watches with Wear OS 3.0 or later, and Gemini on select watches with Wear OS 4.0 or later.

On your watch, download the Google Maps app from the Play Store.

  • Get turn-by-turn navigation
  • Find a place or business
  • Find business info
  • Check your flight or hotel reservations

Note:If you don't have Google Play on your watch, the Google Maps app will automatically be synced to your watch.

Measure your progress and stay motivated with built in fitness tracking.

  • Track a walk, run, or bike ride
  • See how many steps you take each day

  • Check your heart rate (if your watch has this feature)
  • Strength training tracking and daily challenges
