Ex-employee company phone

Hi,
We have two HTC phones, previously used by our staff. They are all gone now, I am not able to tell who was using each unit as I wasn't working in this place then. One of the phones was logged on to private google account. I need an access to this device in order to use it now, but after resetting to  manufacturer settings I cannot access anything. Any way to sort it out? Can Google help?

Hello Anna Klos,

It looks like you're stuck at Factory Reset Protection, a security mechanism designed to prevent misuse of the phone if it's been reset from recovery menu or via Find My Device. There is no way to bypass this. You must enter the credentials of the Google account with which the phone was previously set up, or you can't use the phone at all.

So I might as well throw the phone away? New company policy - do not allow staff to connect business phone with Google. Ban Google.

Unfortunately there is no way to bypass this, as I said before. For future, you can consider using Google's MDM solution - https://workspace.google.co.in/intl/en_in/products/admin/endpoint/
