Google Analytics uses roles to manage access to your account. There are 2 types of roles:
- Direct roles are explicitly assigned to a user for a specific account or property.
- Effective roles are the combination of direct roles and roles inherited from other resources, such as a user group or an account that includes the current property. Effective roles determine a user’s actual access level.
Roles:
- Administrator
- Editor
- Marketer
- Analyst
- Viewer
Each role can be granted at the account or property level.
