Data sharing settings
The Google Analytics data sharing settings let you control how you share your Analytics account data with Google products and services. A user with the Edit permission can choose to enable or disable these options at any time:
- With other Google products only
Share your Google Analytics data with other Google services and products, like AdWords and AdSense. For example, this option lets you import Google Analytics Goals into AdWords.
- Anonymously with Google and others
This option provides feedback about Google Analytics we can use to build tailored reports, customized communication, and better education material for you. Google removes any information that might identify the source websites, combines the data with other sites that use Google Analytics in comparable industries, and reports aggregate trends. Shared data can’t be tied back to individual accounts.
- Account specialists
This option gives access to Google marketing and sales specialists so they can find ways to improve account implementation and analysis, and then share their optimization tips with you. If you don’t have dedicated sales specialists, the access is only granted to authorized Google representatives.
If no settings are selected, your data will be excluded from any process that isn’t specifically related to operating and improving Google Analytics or protecting the security and integrity of the data.
