Google provides translated versions of our Help Centre as a convenience, though they are not meant to change the content of our policies. On 31 January 2020, Google will update the Political content policy for the United Kingdom (UK). This will include the following changes:
- Election ads in the UK are ads that feature a political party, a current elected officeholder, or candidate for the UK Parliament, or a referendum question up for vote, a referendum campaign group, or a call to vote related to a national referendum or regional referendum on sovereignty.
- All advertisers running election ads in the UK must be verified by Google. More information about verification for the UK will be published on 31 January 2020.
