On September 1, 2022, Google will update the Brazil Election Ads section of the Political Content policy.
Currently, Brazil Election Ads are ads that feature any of the following:
- Federal: A political party, current elected officeholder or candidate for President, Vice President, the Federal Senate, or the Chamber of Deputies.
Starting in September 2022, Brazil Election Ads will include ads that feature any of the following:
- Federal: A political party, coalition, federation, current elected officeholder or candidate for President, Vice President, the Federal Senate, or the Chamber of Deputies.
- State: A political party, coalition, federation, current elected office holder or candidate for Governor, Vice Governor, the State Legislative Assemblies, or the Federal District Legislative Chamber.
All advertisers running Brazil Election Ads must be verified by Google. Verification to run Brazil Election Ads has been available since July 29, 2021. To run Brazil Election Ads in Brazil, an advertiser must complete Brazil Election Ads verification. To run Brazil Election Ads outside of Brazil, an advertiser must complete Election Ads or Advertiser Identity verification for the region in which the advertiser is located. If an advertiser is already verified, no additional action is required.
