I think I got shadow banned from adsense 2 Recommended Answers 2 Replies 0 Upvotes

Ads got suspended from my site a few months ago with a very inconsistent warning, the warning said "sexual content" but was pointing to a page that had no such content, it was pointing to a wiki page about nazi villains in fiction and while it was not glorifying nazism or violence by any way, the page had a nazi flag, and I suspected back then the nazi flag is what triggered their bots, so I have removed all the wiki pages related to nazi villains in fiction.

After numerous attempts to find and fix the problem, I have come to the conclusion that I got "shadow banned", which means I got banned but their system make it look like I'm not banned.

How I've come to the conclusion that I got shadow banned?

After numerous attempts to resolve the problem, going as far as deleting the entire wiki, implementing code changes to not embed external content on my pages, and adding a (server intensive) auto-censor system, my appeal were being rejected over and over again, so to narrow down the problem, I have removed all ads except on the homepage which I carefully reviewed, but it was still not good and this time I noticed the suspension reason was being changed at every appeal : sexual content, no content, misleading heading, violent content, no ad code, site behavior, ... so what should I believe, that I am blind and the one page I carefully reviewed has every single possible violation, or that their bots are just using a random reason to reject my appeals?

Why shadow banned and not just banned?

I can only speculate but there can be many reasons :
-to get us to keep their ad code so they can continue mining traffic data as long as possible?
-to delay us from moving to the competition?
-to prevent the word from spreading, that they ban sites that have certain type of content, so they can keep detecting "bad sites" easily?

While all of this is speculation, if it is really what happened, I find this extremely brutal, banning users based off automatic systems without human check is already brutal enough, but not telling us, and thus wasting our time, money and efforts, would be an absolute scandal.
