Can't verify the ID. US entity with non us owner

I own a US LLC, and I'm not US resident.

My tax profile was approved with a W8-BEN where I have my non US address.

On my ID verification, it's asks for US Passport or green card or so... How's that possible? It doesn't even give me option for address outside of US, as the authorized representative.

Have you solved the problem yet? I have the same issue with ID verification. I'm a Non-US citizen but I opened an LLC in the USA as well.

As far as I can remember (I am not a USA Citizen or Resident and know nothing about US companies) a company has to have legally a US Agent/Representative.

I suggest talking to whoever set the US Company up and ask about it..

A company who does this type of thing would be something like this: (I know nothing about the company and is only listed a example)

A representative is a person or entity that represents the company. Like a Director/Manager.

The Registered Agent is just an office that helped you format the company.

Otherwise, would I need to put the address and upload the passport of the CEO of the company that is our registered agent in order to open an Adsense account? They could simply ask for the certificate of formation.

It doesn't make any sense.

It seems like a mistake on Google's end. How is it possible to have my tax info approved as a non-US resident and owner of the company and then ask for a US representative by default?

Have you asked your US tax expert or the US IRS?

I did ask my Tax expert but they said it's a Google policy. So we need to talk with google. Have you solved your problem yet? I really have no idea how to solve it.

No I haven't found any solution so far! @LennonNZ a US tax expert has nothing to do if Google approves a W8-BEN for a foreign-owned US LLC, and then asks for US ID or Passport for ID verification of the owner and W9 for EIN verification. It's clearly an error in their system.

I have sent an email to their tax form team and they said, they forwarded this to the appropriate team. So we are waiting for news.

Hi @Ippokratis88, thank you for your information. In my case, I contacted my google rep, and she suggested me to change the address inside my google to my current location which I don't think it's a good solution in this case. I have 2 weeks left so I will try to contact them again to see if we have any better solution. Btw, do you have any updates on your case?
