AdSense revenue

AdSense revenue share

For displaying ads with AdSense for Content, publishers receive 80% of the revenue, after the advertiser platform takes its fee, whether that be Google’s buy-side or third-party platforms. For example, when advertisers use Google Ads to purchase display ads on AdSense, publishers keep about 68% percent of the revenue. AdSense pays publishers an effective cost per mille (eCPM) for advertiser bids.

These percentages are consistent, regardless of a publisher's geographic location, and are not in any way averaged between publishers. We don't disclose the revenue share for all AdSense products; the revenue share varies for other products due to different costs of developing and supporting these products.

We believe our revenue share is extremely competitive. However, revenue shares alone can be misleading, so we encourage you to also consider the total revenue generated for your site.

With the vast number of advertisers competing to appear on AdSense sites, our system ensures that you're earning the most possible for every ad impression you receive.

Sharing revenue with a platform partner

If your site is linked with an AdSense platform partner, there is an additional revenue share which takes place after Google's revenue share. You can see which of your sites are linked to platform partners on the Sites page in your account. Learn more about revenue sharing with platform partners.
