Add the AdMob Network to a mediation group

This content applies to the newest version of AdMob

After you've created a mediation group, you need to add ad sources to fill the ad requests it will receive. When you add a third-party ad network, you can choose to optimize it or not, set an eCPM value (if applicable), and enable or disable other options.

Select one of the following options to add the AdMob Network to a mediation group.

Add the AdMob Network with optimization

Complete the steps below to add the AdMob Network as an ad source in a mediation group using optimization:

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://apps.admob.com.
  2. Click Mediation in the sidebar.
  3. Click the name of the mediation group to which you're adding the network.
  4. Click Add ad network in the ad sources table.
  5. Select AdMob from the drop-down menu. The Optimize and Set a floor options are enabled by default.
  6. Enter an eCPM value for AdMob to use as a floor. Note: The floor value defines the minimum eCPM threshold that the AdMob Network can use to bid on ad requests in mediation. Setting this value too high can reduce the overall fill rate.
  7. Click Done.
  8. Click Save. The mediation group will be saved.

Don't forget to use the Google Developers guide to implement mediation in your apps. If you don't complete this step, mediation won't be able to fill incoming ad requests.

Add the AdMob Network without optimization

Complete the steps below to add the AdMob Network as an ad source in a mediation group without using optimization:

  2. Click Mediation in the sidebar.
  3. Click the name of the mediation group to which you're adding the network.
  4. Click Add ad network in the ad sources table.
  5. Click Add ad network in the ad sources table.
  6. Select AdMob from the drop-down menu. The Optimize and Set a floor options are enabled by default.
  7. Click the Optimize toggle to turn it off.
  8. Click the Set a floor toggle to turn it off.
  9. Enter a manual eCPM value for AdMob to use to position the AdMob Network in mediation.
  10. Click Done.
  11. Click Save. The mediation group will be saved.

Don't forget to use the Google Developers guide to implement mediation in your apps. If you don't complete this step, mediation won't be able to fill incoming ad requests.
