Mediation

Authorise optimisation for waterfall ad sources

When you enable Ad Network Optimisation for one of the available ad networks, you will be asked to tick a tick box indicating that you authorise AdMob and Google to access, manage, retrieve and analyse data relating to your account with the ad network. Ticking the box also indicates that, by allowing Google to access this information, you aren't violating any of your third-party agreements.

Example of how to enable a new ad network in AdMob

There are several other instances in which you are required to tick this box if you haven't already given your authorisation:

  • If you edit the existing credentials for an ad network that you previously enabled for ad network optimisation and that network supports scraping and has scraping credentials configured.
  • If you add an ad network that you've previously removed, and that ad network supports scraping and has scraping credentials configured.
  • If you edit the existing allocation on the ad unit mediation page for an ad network that supports scraping and has scraping credentials configured.
  • If you add a new allocation on the ad unit mediation page for an ad network that supports scraping and already has scraping credentials configured.

In any of these circumstances, you must tick the authorisation tick box or you will be unable to use Ad Network Optimisation with the selected network(s).

Note: You may also be prompted to reauthorise the network(s) you're already using for ad network optimisation. If you don't reauthorise, ad network optimisation for the networks you're already using may stop.
