Manage user access to your account (Legacy)

Please note that we are rolling out changes to the Users tab. These instructions are for the legacy version of the Users page. Learn more about the upcoming changes

If you have administrator access, you can share your AdMob account with other people, such as business partners, employees, friends and family. Users with access to your account can view, edit, and manage any part of an account. You can also remove or change a user’s access at any time.

You can view and manage access in the Users page of your account. To view your users page, click Settings in the sidebar of your AdMob account, then click the Users tab.

In this article:

User roles

There are two user roles you can assign in AdMob. Each user role has different levels of access. The following table details the permissions associated with each level of access.

  Manager Administrator
View, edit, and manage most parts of an account Supported Supported
Cancel an account Not supported Supported
Give account access or change another user's access level Not supported Supported
Accept, reject, or cancel MCM relationships Not supported Supported
Accept new AdMob terms and conditions Not supported Supported
See the list of users who have access to an account Not supported Supported
Note: If you also use the AdSense account that’s associated with this AdMob account, the same level of access to AdSense will be granted to the user you’re adding to AdMob. For example, if you add a user to your AdMob account as an administrator, they will also be an administrator in AdSense.

Also note that the manager role is the same as standard user access in AdSense.

Add a user to your AdMob account

Note: To access your account, users must have a Google Account and that account can't be linked to another active AdMob account.

If you have administrator access, you can add a user to your account:

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://apps.admob.com.
  2. Click Settings in the sidebar.
  3. Click the Users tab.
  4. Click Add user
  5. Enter the email address of the user you’re inviting to have access to your account and select the user role you’d like to assign that user:
    • Administrator: View and edit all features and functions in your AdMob account.
    • Manager: View and edit all features and functions in your AdMob account, except for account access and user management.

  6. Click Send invite. This sends an invitation to the email you entered. The user is added to your users page with the status of Pending invite
  7. Click Done

You can change the user’s role or remove the user from your account at any time.

Administrators should exercise caution in granting users access to an account. All users added to an account must comply with the AdMob policies and restrictions.

User status

The status of a user will be Pending invite until they accept the invitation by clicking the link in the email and associating their Google Account with the AdMob account listed in the invitation. Users have 20 days to accept an invitation before it expires. Once it expires, the invitation will be deleted from the user list and the administrator will have to invite the user again.

Once they’ve accepted the invitation, their status will change to Active

Remove a user from your account

If you have administrator access, you can add or remove a user to your account:

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://apps.admob.com.
  2. Click Settings in the sidebar.
  3. Click the Users tab.
  4. Click the checkbox next to the user you’d like to remove.
  5. Click Remove.
  6. A dialog box will appear asking you to confirm that you’d like to remove the user. Click Remove

The user receives a notification email and their details are removed from your users page. When you remove a manager or administrator from your account, they're no longer able to sign in to your AdMob account.

Change a user's role

Note: If you have administrator access, you can change a user’s role once they’ve accepted the invite. If you need to change their role before they’ve accepted the invite, you can remove the user with Pending invite and resend the invite with the new user role.

To change a user's role:

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://apps.admob.com.
  2. Click Settings in the sidebar.
  3. Click the Users tab.
  4. In the row of the user you’d like to change, hover over the user role. Click Edit.
  5. Select the new role from the dropdown.
  6. Click Update.

The user will be notified that their user role has changed.
