Add a privacy policy URL

The privacy policy URL appears in the "Learn more" section of some message types, including European regulations messages. When you add or update the privacy policy URL of an app, the URL will be updated in any existing messages. It will also be added to new messages that you create.

As required by the Google EU user consent policy, you must provide users with details of your organization's data and cookie policy in your European regulations messages.
Ensure your data and cookie disclosure policy pages:
  • Don't host scripts that require user consent, including ad tags.
  • Don't contain the Funding Choices consent message tag.

Complete the following steps to add or update a privacy policy URL:

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://admob.google.com.
  2. Click Privacy & messaging.
  3. Click Manage on one of the message type cards on the Privacy & messaging page. Privacy policy URLs are required for European regulations messages and ads personalization controls messages.
  4. Complete one of the following steps to open your app list:
    • Click Create message, then Select apps.
    • In the Messages table, click any link in the "App" column.
  5. In the "Privacy policy URL" column, click the row you want to edit.
  6. Enter your app's privacy policy URL.
