Create video content hierarchies

This feature will be deprecated on October 31, 2018.

Once deprecated, existing line items targeted to content hierarchies will be preserved. However, the option to target new line items will be removed. You can continue to target video content with key‑values mapped from content metadata or content bundles.

After you’ve ingested video content and its associated metadata, you can create a content hierarchy for targeting.

Create a content hierarchy

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.

  2. Click Video and then Content hierarchies.

  3. Enter a name in the "New content hierarchy" section. This name will be shown in the targeting picker and reports.

  4. Enter the "First level" metadata key that represents the top level of the hierarchy. Available keys are set up as part of metadata management.

  5. Add more levels by selecting new keys. All keys are available for all hierarchy levels.

  6. When you’re done, click Save.

To delete a content hierarchy, click X in the "Existing content hierarchies" section.

To edit a hierarchy, click its name in the “Existing content hierarchies" section, then make the desired changes. You cannot delete intermediary levels, only the bottom level.
