Tag your sites for ad blocking recovery messages

Use the available options on the Tagging tab to manage your ad blocking recovery messages. The Tagging tab provides code snippets to help ad blocking recovery messages work on your site.

You must paste the ad blocking tag code in between the <head> and </head> tags of your site's HTML before your ad blocking recovery message can be displayed.
  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Privacy & messaging.
  3. Click Ad blocking recovery.
  4. Click Tagging.
  5. Click Copy to copy the ad blocking recovery tag code into your site. Then, paste the code between the <head> and </head> tags in your site's HTML code.
  6. (optional) Click Copy to copy the error protection code into your site. Then, paste the code between the <head> and </head> tags in your site's HTML code. The error protection code will display a message to users if an ad blocking extension blocks their access to your site.
Even if you aren't ready to publish an ad blocking recovery message on your site, you can still access ad blocker detection data and reporting metrics in your account. To access this data:
  1. Add the ad blocking recovery tag code to your site.
  2. Create an ad blocking recovery message in Privacy & messaging and leave it in "Draft" status.

Ad Manager will start detecting ad blockers and generating reporting metrics even if the message is unpublished and isn't being displayed on your site.
