If you’ve come from a page that says your access has been restricted, it means that your account can't access most Google services.
Why access is restricted
Access to Google services is usually restricted if the account's owner has violated our policies.
Google's policies prohibit the use or creation of multiple accounts for abuse.
Google automatically detects accounts potentially made for abuse and restricts their access to most Google services.
What happens when your access is restricted
You can't use most Google services. When you try to sign in, you'll be redirected to a page that explains your account access to most Google services has been restricted.
Here are a few Google services you can still use:
- Google Account: Your info and security settings (some account settings only)
- Google Fi Wireless: Mobile carrier and settings (available for existing plans only)
- Google Voice: Smart voice calling on all your devices
- Password Manager: Save passwords in Android or Chrome
- Sign in with Google: Sign in to third-party apps and services with your Google Account
Restore access to most Google services
You can take steps to get access back to Google services.
- On a browser, like Chrome, go to the Google access page.
- Select Take Steps.
- Follow the instructions provided.
If your information couldn’t be verified, your access to most Google services will remain restricted.
If you live in the European Union (EU) or are an EU citizen, there may be additional resolution options available to you.
Sign out to use some services
If you want to access services other than those listed above, you need to sign out of your account. While you’re signed out, you can watch YouTube videos, get directions on Google Maps, or use Google Search. You won't be able to like videos, write comments or reviews, or get personalized results.
Important: Before you sign out, make sure you have backup verification methods set up in case you can’t sign back in.
- On a browser go to a Google page you have access to, like support.google.com or myaccount.google.com.
- From any page in the help center or your account, click your profile picture or initial.
- On the menu, click Sign out.
