Google support: Can't recover access to old gmail account needed to remove it from windows mail
I have an old gmail account that I haven't used in years on my Windows (8.1) Mail app. I want to delete it, but I don't know the password for the google account, and it requires that I sign in to google to remove it. I have tried google account recovery unsuccessfully. How can I get rid of it?
Unless you can regain access, you won't be able to do anything to/with the account, including delete it.
The only account recovery option Google provides starts at https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery (accounts can not be recovered through this forum or by contacting Google). Assuming you posted here because account recovery isn’t working, researching more accurate answers and using a known computer/IP-address will help. You also need to read the following resources:
http://gmailaccountrecovery.blogspot.com/ - a detailed description of the account recovery process that covers most any question one might have (like ways to figure out the account creation date).
Unfortunately, if you can’t use the provided method to prove ownership of the account Google will not give it to you.
I tried again to recover my old account and I have been trying to get ahold of Google and it is way out of control it's my personal and private information that is all over the internet and the he is the only one that has can access my phone because he even deleted my contacts and forwarded my phone to his and I have changed my phone and carrier and he is the one that has access to this please someone help I even contacted the authority's and my bank and my medical staff and still nothing is being done to resolve and fix this major problem that is affecting my health and financial problem's this is my final attempt and I am desperately trying to get help from anyone willing to help me resolve this... thank you to anyone who can help
I haven't ever kept the info needed in order to get into the files you referred to and cannot get into anything now. I have one security program in my computer - so I am not concerned about any additional one. Hosever, I do very much appreciate your attempt to assist me in this regard. Thank you very much for
