Manage your Location Sharing settings

You can share your real-time location with the use of your Location History.

What you need 

  • Google Account 
  • Mobile device 
  • Internet connection 
  • Location services turned on for your device 
  • Location History turned on in your Google Accounts 

Note: Location Sharing works differently if a parent or guardian manages your Google Account.

Tip: You need a mobile device to share your real-time location, but you can control your Location Sharing settings from a computer

Location Sharing is available in several Google apps. To get started, you can: 

Stop sharing your location with someone 

  1. Open your Location Sharing settings
  2. Next to the person's name, tap Remove Remove
