Create or change your Google Account PIN

Some products ask for a Google Account PIN before you can take certain actions, like set up a device or make a purchase.

When to use a PIN

You'll be asked to use a Google Account PIN in a few different situations, including when:

  • You approve purchases in Google Play (optional).
  • You send someone money in Google Pay.
  • You set up a Roku box. You'll use the PIN to add Google Play Movies & TV.
  • You buy something from Google Play in Daydream.

Your Google Account PIN is different from PINs you might have for other Google products, like Google Voice and Google Ads.
