To schedule a meeting in Google Calendar, go to Get started with Calendar.
You can start a new video meeting on the fly from Google Meet or Gmail.
Before you begin
- Make sure you're signed in to a Google Account or Google Workspace account.
- Review the requirements for Google Meet.
Start a new video meeting
Schedule a video meeting from the Google Calendar app
- Open the Google Calendar app

- Tap
Event.
- Add guests from inside or outside your organization. Tap Done.
- Tap Save.
Get the Meet app
- Go to the App Store.
- Download and install the Google Meet app
.
- On your device, tap the Google Meet app
to open it.
Calls are synchronized across all devices so you can start a video call on one device and continue on another.
Start a meeting in the Meet app
- Open the Meet app
.
- Tap New meeting. Choose one:
Get a meeting link to share: This will generate a meeting link which you can share to meet now or later. Tap Share invite to invite others and copy the code into the "Join with a code" field to join the meeting.
Tip: Google Workspace users will see Get joining info to share. This works exactly like the "Get a meeting link to share".Start an instant meeting: Creates a meeting that you join now.
Schedule in Google calendar: To schedule a meeting, you will be directed to the Google Calendar app.
