Hi Chris Webb 600,

Welcome to the G Suite Administrator  (formerly Google Apps) Forum.

Being a beta release, you might need to allow time for the devs to update the client. Generally the client is updated before beta concludes.

I'm having the problem with Mac OS 10.13.6

I'm Suddenly getting this message

System Extension Blocked:

The system extension required for running Google Drive File Stream could not be loaded. Please open the System Preferences > Security & Privacy pane and allow loading system software from Google, Inc. Then, restart the application.

I've already given permission but apparently something has changed?

Apple has changed in 10.14.5 kernel extension security.

As a couple of people have mentioned, look in the General tab, not the Privacy tab. Toward the bottom you'll have a button to "Allow Google Inc."

That solved it for me after pulling my hair out for a while messing with the Privacy tab.

Thank you, Brandon! As soon as I found that button, I was able to restart Google File Stream.

For me the trick was that the button to allow Google Inc. access was only available when the dialog complaining that GDFS was not working was open. When I clicked on the button in that dialog to go to the system preferences > Security it was not there.

But when I left it open and go to system preferences > security then I could click the mentioned button and got it working.

Thank you Jeroen - that worked for me. I am probably stating the obvious but the provided link - system preferences > security dropped me into > privacy. I actually needed > general to access the activate Google button.
