Get started: Voice setup guide for admins

Add Voice locations

Before you assign numbers to users or port numbers to Google Voice for G Suite, you need to set up your organization's location information. Voice needs the service address of your headquarters, or primary location, in each of the countries/regions where you use Voice.

Add primary or secondary locations

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. From the Admin console Home page, go to Appsand thenG Suiteand thenGoogle Voiceand thenService Management.
  3. Click Locations.
  4. At the top right, click Add Location.

Note: If your organization has more than one location in a country/region, set up your headquarters first. The first location you set up becomes your primary location in that country/region.

  5. In Country/region field, click the Down arrow Down Arrow and select your location from the list.
  6. In Location name field, enter a name that identifies your organization.
  7. In Street address field, enter the service address of your organization's headquarters in this country/region. Voice validates the address.
  8. In Primary service address field:

You can't change what shows in this field.

    • If this location is the first location you've set up for a country/region, this field shows This location.
    • If this location isn't the first location you've set up for this country/region, this field shows the name of your primary location.
  9. In Tax ID field, enter the tax identification number for your organization .
  10. Click Save.
