2. Set up your new G Suite domain

Next, make sure your new G Suite domain is ready for the migrated data. 

Set up G Suite

  1. Add users to your G Suite domain

    You must add your users to your new domain before you migrate data. The data migration service only migrates data to accounts of existing G Suite users. It doesn't create G Suite users from the data it migrates.
  2. Turn on the target Google service for users

    Gmail must be enabled for email migration, G Suite Directory for contacts migration, and Google Calendar for event migration.

  3. Make sure your users have a license

    Before your users start to use Google services, they need a user license.
