Opt in to new services

When Google adds a new service in your Google Admin console, you can have it turned on for users right away. Or you can have new services initially turned off, then decide for yourself when to turn them on for users.

Automatically turn new services on or off

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. From the Admin console dashboard, go to Company profileand thenProfile.
  3. Scroll to New products.
  4. Select an option:

Automatic: New services are turned on when we release them.
Manual: New services are off until you turn them on yourself.

  5. At the bottom, click Save.

This change might take up to 24 hours to take effect.

Note: The "New Products" setting only applies to newly released Google products, and not where a new “on/off” control is added for an existing Google product.

Applies only for new services

When you sign up for a Google Cloud account like G Suite, most services in your account, like Gmail and Calendar, are already turned on. The setting you make here applies only for services that Google releases later.

For example, if you were already using G Suite when we launched Google+, this setting would have determined whether Google+ was initially turned on.

Applies for all your domains

If you add multiple domains to your account, this setting applies for users in all your domains.
