You must be signed in as a super administrator for this task.
With Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), your users can sign in to enterprise cloud applications with their Google Cloud credentials.
Set up SSO via SAML for Tinfoil Security
Before you beginBefore configuring SSO, sign in to Tinfoil Security and get the account ID for your organization:
- Click My Account

- Copy the account ID value.
- From the Admin Console dashboard, go to Users .
- In the toolbar, click Manage user attributes
.
- Click Add Custom Category.
- In the Custom category name field, enter a name. For example, TINFOIL_ATTR.
- In the Attribute name field, enter the account ID.
- From the Type list, select Text.
- From the Multiple values list, select No.
- From the Private list, select Yes.
- Click Add and then click Done.
- In the Users page, select the Admin user to use for SAML configuration.
- Click Account and scroll down to find the Manage user attributes section with the category and custom attributes you created.
- Click Edit to add custom attribute values.
- Click Previous or Next to toggle among the categories until you see the attribute added in line 4.
- Once in the required attribute screen, paste the account-id value provided from Tinfoil
- Click Update User.

Sign in to your Google Admin console.

From the Admin console Home page, go to Apps
Web and mobile apps.

Click Add app
Search for apps.
- Enter Tinfoil Security in the search field.
- In the search results, hover over the Tinfoil Security SAML app and click Select.
- On the Google Identity Provider details page:
- Copy and save the SSO URL and the Entity ID.
- Download the Certificate.
- Click Continue.
- On the Service provider details page, keep all the default values.
- Click Continue.
- On the Attribute mapping page, click the Select field menu and map the following Google directory attributes to their corresponding Tinfoil Security attributes:
Google directory attribute Tinfoil Security attribute Category provided for account_id > account_id accountid - Click Finish.
- Open a new incognito browser window.
- Sign in to https://www.tinfoilsecurity.com with your organization's Tinfoil Security administrator account.

Select My Account on the right.

Click Security on the left.

Check Enable SAML.

Select Manual Configuration.

In the SAML Post URL field, enter the SSO URL you copied in step 1.

In the SAML Certificate Fingerprint field, paste the certificate you downloaded in step 1.
- Enter your administrator password and click Save.

Sign in to your Google Admin console.

From the Admin console Home page, go to Apps
Web and mobile apps.
- Select Tinfoil Security.

Click User access.

To turn on or off a service for everyone in your organization, click On for everyone or Off for everyone, and then click Save.

(Optional) To turn a service on or off for an organizational unit:
- At the left, select the organizational unit.
- Select On or Off.
- Click Override to keep your setting if the service for the parent organizational unit is changed.
- If Overridden is already set for the organizational unit, choose an option:
- Inherit—Reverts to the same setting as its parent.
- Save—Saves your new setting (even if the parent setting changes).

(Optional) Turn on the service for a group of users.
Use access groups to turn on a service for specific users within or across your organizational units. Learn more - Ensure that your Tinfoil Security user account email IDs match those in your Google domain.
Note: Tinfoil Security only supports IdP initiated SSO. You can’t use SSO if you sign in directly to Tinfoil Security.

From the Admin console Home page, go to Apps
Web and mobile apps.
- Select Tinfoil Security.
- At the top left, click Test SAML login.
Tinfoil Security should open in a separate tab. If it doesn’t, use the information in the resulting SAML error messages to update your IdP and SP settings as needed, then retest SAML login.
You should be automatically redirected to your Tinfoil Security account.
