Dreamhost MX records

If you need to verify your domain, return to the setup wizard and choose a different method, like Add a domain host record (TXT or CNAME), HTML file, or meta tag.

Introduction

To set up Gmail with your domain, you need to configure MX records on the Dreamhost site.

Steps

  1. Log in to your account at https://panel.dreamhost.com/.
  2. Click Mail on the left side and select Custom MX from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Edit next to the domain you will be using with G Suite.
  4. Click I'm ready to use Gmail now!
Be aware it may take as long as 72 hours before DNS changes are propagated, depending on the time to live (TTL) that was configured for your records. Until records have been updated worldwide, you will still receive traffic to your old server.

Troubleshooting

Follow the steps within Troubleshoot MX records to fix your DNS setup.
