Domain registrar limitations for creating TXT records

A TXT record is a type of Domain Name System (DNS) record that's stored by your domain provider. With Google Workspace, you create TXT records to:

Most domain providers let you create a TXT record through your domain administration console, similar to the way you create other DNS records such as MX records and CNAME records. However, some providers give only limited support for TXT records or create them differently from other DNS records.

  • LiveDns — The domain provider changes all TXT record values to lower case, which invalidates the DKIM domain key
