A Beginner's Guide to Signing up for Google Workspace

To update your MX records with this Domain Name System (DNS) provider, first understand MX records and learn how to configure them for Google Workspace in general.


  1. Log in to your account at by entering your username and password.
  2. In the domain and products table, click on the website that you want to use with Google Workspace.
  3. Under the header Manage your domains and products, click on Domains and DNS.
  4. In the Management section area, click Configuration and DNS management.
  5. Click Advanced DNS Management, and click OK when the dialog box pops up.
  6. Click Add Record.
  7. Include the MX record values shown in the MX record values table.
  8. Click OK, and then OK in the dialog box.
Be aware it may take as long as 72 hours before DNS changes are propagated, depending on the time to live (TTL) that was configured for your records. Until records have been updated worldwide, you will still receive traffic to your old server.
